On August 1, 2002, and after a special opening procedure on July 31st, CME will launch trading in Long-Short Technology TRAKRS, the first of a new series of non-traditional futures products called TRAKRS.  Developed by Merrill Lynch, TRAKRS for North America will trade exclusively at CME, and exclusively on GLOBEX.
 
This advisory provides a detailed description of how clearing and bookkeeping procedures for TRAKRS differ from those of other futures contracts.
